Position

Field Life Agent – Full time, hourly, non‑exempt position.

Pay and Incentives
  • Sign‑On Bonus: $2,500 ($1,000 after 30 days, $1,500 after 90 days)
  • Annual Base Pay: $25,000 (non‑exempt, eligible for overtime)
  • Commission Structure:
    Unlimited leads, tiered commissions for the first 12 months
  • Average Earnings: $75,000 – $100,000 (base plus commissions)

Responsibilities

A Field Life Agent will periodically conduct outside sales activities away from the assigned AAA branch.

  • Solicit and sell Life & Health insurance and annuity products under minimal supervision, primarily within ACG branch location.
  • Use thorough knowledge of product features and marketing/sales techniques to achieve established sales goals.
  • Develop leads and prospects for new accounts through outbound/inbound phone calls, mailings, referrals, networking, website, seminars, etc.
  • Prepare proposals, and close sales of Life, Health, Annuity, Membership, and Financial Services products.
  • Complete appropriate applications, forms, and internal processes to ensure transactions comply with company policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with branch colleagues to reach business goals, maximize leads, and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Assist underwriting and brokerage departments in satisfying requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and problems with sound sales practices.
  • Prepare reports documenting prospecting and sales activities and maintain specified production standards and persistency levels.

Qualifications
  • Valid State Life Sales license(s).
  • Ability to take and pass LUTC or CLU coursework.
  • Maintain required Life and Health licenses.
  • Valid State driver’s license.
  • Qualify for all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products.
Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience successfully soliciting and selling life insurance products.
  • Experience selling intangible products.
Desired Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products.
  • Ability to listen, analyze customer needs, recommend best fit.
  • Effective communication of complex information.
  • Proficiency in preparing proposals and conducting closing interviews.
