Responsibilities
- Manage multiple mechanical and HVAC construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Maintain full responsibility for project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability
- Prepare and manage project schedules, change orders, and project cost projections
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents to plan manpower needs, subcontractor activities, material procurement, and jobsite logistics
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and contracts to ensure scope compliance
- Estimate small to medium-sized mechanical projects accurately and efficiently
- Identify and resolve project issues through strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Collaborate with office staff to support project documentation, reporting, and internal coordination
- Support business development efforts through the ability to sell, manage, and expand project work when opportunities arise
- Degree (Construction, Engineering, etc..) or relevant experience
- 5+ years of professional working experience in a mechanical or construction based environment
- Needs to have strong background and experience within mechanical systems – Ideally piping/pipe fitting such as; heavy mechanical, chill water, high pressure steam, heating/cooling, refrigeration, process piping, infrastructure for mechanical processes, etc..)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical drawings, etc..
- Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion while ensuring deliverables are met and end users are happy
- Ability to manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitability
- Ability to prepare and manage project schedules, change orders, and project cost projections
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different internal and external personnel on different projects (Superintendent, constructional workers/contractors, subcontractors, etc..)
