** Key Responsibilities
*** MATERIAL HANDLING & STORAGE  + Receive, unload, and check incoming materials, verifying identity, quantity, and condition.  + Store and organize materials in designated areas, ensuring inventory accuracy and accessibility.  + Deliver raw materials, parts, and components to production areas as required.  + Maintain assigned storage areas in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
* EQUIPMENT OPERATION  + Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, aisle stackers, dollies, and other powered or manual material handling equipment.  + Operate overhead cranes from booth or floor controls to move heavy materials and equipment as required.  + Perform daily equipment inspection and basic preventative maintenance on assigned vehicles.
* INVENTORY & DOCUMNTATION  + Complete and maintain accurate records, including packing slips, bills of lading, shipping/receiving forms, and inventory logs.  + Assist with cycle counts and other inventory control activities to support accuracy and efficiency.  + Report shortages, defects, or non-standard material conditions to supervision promptly.
* SAFETY, HOUSEKEEPING, & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT  + Follow all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines related to warehouse operations.  + Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S principles.  + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team-driven problem-solving.
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma or GED required.
* Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
* Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
* Forklift certification or willingness to obtain required
** Experience
* ** Six to Twelve (6-12) months of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling preferred.
* Experience operating forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in team environment.
** Working Conditions
*** Work performed in manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to temperature extremes, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
* Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.
* Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as directed.
* Must be able to work various shifts or overtime as needed to support production
** Wage Rate:
** The starting wage for Warehouse Attendant is $27.75 per hour with a shift differential of $1.20 per hour for 2nd and 3rd Shifts. At Xylem we offer a comprehensive compensation package with a generous benefits package, including Medical, Dental, 401(K) with company contribution, and vacation.
