Overview
Automotive Technician/Mechanic – Lighthouse is seeking an Automotive Technician with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, high integrity, and ASE certification.
As a Lighthouse Automotive Service Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for servicing our guests vehicles and ensuring quality workmanship.
Job DetailsJob Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00+ per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift – Day shift, Monday to Friday. The shop closes at 5:30 PM on weekdays and is closed on weekends.
Work Location: In person
Expected hours: 40 per week

- ASE certification strongly preferred
- Applicants with 2+ years of professional experience will be considered
- Must be a High School Graduate or have a completed GED
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair
- Communicating effectively with teammates, parts department, service advisor, and supervisor
- Supervising the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
- Inspecting and refilling fluid levels as necessary
- Completing vehicle inspections
- Cleaning and lubricating fittings as needed
- Ensuring that the service center is clean and presentable
- Greeting guests in a professional, pleasant manner
- Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
- Documenting all work performed and recommended on the repair order
- Road testing vehicles when required or referring to the test technician
- Participating in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
- Ensuring the cleanliness of customer’s cars and shop area
- Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with manufacturer technical bulletins and applicable regulations
- Other tasks as assigned
