Returnable Container Management Operations Manager

Job Summary

This Returnable Container Management Operations Manager will manage the Operation of North America Returnable Container Network to support 70+ North American Caterpillar facilities and deploy new technologies to automate and improve operation efficiency.

• 100% on-site, no hybrid or remote options
• Up to 10% domestic and international travel

• Manage the daily operation of the North America Returnable Container network to meet production facility needs
• Manage the supplier relationship and negotiate contracts on behalf of Caterpillar
• Deploy AI and automation technologies to drive more operational efficiency
• Responsible for the annual container spending budget management and working with procurement to fund the cost reduction opportunities
• Have regular communication with all manufacturing facilities for RCM policies and resolve any potential problems in the network
• Responsible for leading a global team, talent development, and succession planning

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent
• Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Operations experience
• Past experience working with suppliers and contract negotiation
• Experience implementing automation technology and data analytics
• Past supervisory experience
