Job Details
What You'll Do:
You'll be the preconstruction engine behind complex healthcare and institutional projects — driving cost certainty and schedule confidence from concept through GMP. Specifically, you'll:
- Provide comprehensive preconstruction services including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and risk management
- Lead bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach and procurement
- Research market conditions, historical cost data, material pricing, and labor rates
- Perform material quantifications, scope development, and schedule planning
- Conduct detailed reviews of design plans and specifications across a range of institutional projects
- Develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies throughout preconstruction
- Collaborate cross-functionally with owners, architects, and the operations team to deliver accurate, competitive budgets
What You Bring:
Required:
- Associate's degree
- 3+ years of hands-on construction and preconstruction experience
- Experience reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with quantity takeoff software (OST, Destini, or similar)
- Experience with design software (Revit, Sketch Up, AutoCAD) for preconstruction
- Bluebeam proficiency
- Experience with bidding software (Building Connected, iSqFt, or similar)
- Ability to prepare conceptual cost estimates from historical data and subcontractor feedback
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- Valid driver's license
