Tech And Trade Center Architectural Internship
This is a project-based internship tied to the design and construction of the Tech and Trade Center. The duration of employment will coincide with the lifecycle of the project, from the early design stages through to completion (Fall of 2027), or until the intern's designated contributions are fulfilled. Hours per week may vary based on project needs and intern availability, with flexibility for both intensive periods and lighter weeks depending on deadlines and milestones.
Job Description:
The Architectural Intern will assist in the design and development of a high school Trade Center, working closely with teachers, architects, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities include conducting research, developing preliminary designs, collaborating with the architecture firm, and visiting other trade centers for inspiration. The intern will support site assessments and design refinement based on educational and technical needs.
Physical Demands:
The role requires extended periods of sitting for drafting and modeling, navigating construction sites with uneven terrain, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Work Environment:
The intern will split time between office-based work and field visits to construction sites and schools. Some travel, including out-of-state, may be required to benchmark best practices for the project.
