TITLE:

Aide - Breakfast Monitor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical, fingerprint-based background check, and Employment History Review.

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal, District Administration

JOB GOAL:

To ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment where students can eat a nutritious morning meal before school starts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Monitors students closely during the breakfast period to prevent accidents and ensure safety.

* Maintains order and enforces school cafeteria rules gently but firmly to keep noise and activity levels manageable.

* Helps students open food packaging, find seats, and navigate the serving lines.

* Guides students in cleaning up their spaces, wiping spills, and throwing away trash properly.

* Documents and reports serious behavioral issues, injuries, or safety hazards to school administrators immediately.

* Maintains a high level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical conduct.

* Performs other related tasks as assigned by the building principal or district office administrator.

Note:

The responsibilities may include other duties as assigned, as the responsibilities listed above represent a majority of the tasks, though not an exhaustive list.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Part-time, approximately 2-3 hours per week on school days when children are in attendance. Institute days as requested by the administration.

EVALUATION:

One written evaluation per year and every other year after three consecutive years of employment. Evaluations completed by the principal.
