HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HRIS Specialist
Position
Purpose:
The HR Generalist role manages the day-to-day HR activities within the assigned campus/ facility. This includes administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs. This role works closely with HR peers and HR COE’s to support HR & Talent processes across their departments.
Key Specific Responsibilities:Supports HRBP in ensuring human resources needs are met in their work groups including staffing, employee relations and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Provides support to HRBP in implementation of HR and Talent processes across the Supply Chain / Operations Organization.
Acts as subject matter expert (SME) for administration of policies, processes and procedures by coaching team members/supervisors/managers, answering questions and resolving issues.
Collect and analyze information from work groups when repetition of individual/department problems indicate negative trends and propose solutions to HRBP.
In partnership with Talent Acquisition, conducts staffing activities including resume review, phone screening, interviewing, identifying appropriate posting placements, etc.
Assist managers and supervisors to resolve problems related to employee performance and prepare documents in connection with these instances.
Assists with employee discipline processes including gathering statements, investigating complaints and attending disciplinary meetings.
Provide support in drafting performance improvement plans, participating in coaching and counseling sessions with supervisors/managers.
Manage both the voluntary and involuntary termination of employees including communication, transition of employees out of workgroup and applicable documentation.
Provides coordination and support to HRBP in relation to claims/charges filed against the company.
Applies project organization and implementation skills to assigned projects to ensure timely and orderly completion in accordance with stated objects.
Serves on employee teams as assigned.
Maintains accurate records for personnel transactions in HRIS system such as applicant tracking, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and employee statistics for various reporting.
Oversee the internal job bidding process.
Drive employee engagement through effective communication, employee events & activities.
Maintains employee files with strict confidence and ensures proper documents are retained.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
Three (3) to five (5) years of cross-functional HR experience in union/non-union manufacturing facility.
Flexible, self-directed, motivated, and able to interact with employees at all levels.
Experience using HRIS and ATS systems preferred.
Ability to coach and counsel employees.
Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel is required.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
