Our
** Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)
** is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
The
** Manager of Supply Chain Planning
** for the Aftermarket Parts Supply team will have responsibility for executing supply chain strategies to ensure material availability to support the aftermarket network and customer orders. This role will partner closely with enterprise partners in the verticals to ensure alignment on strategies, supplier performance and developing improvement opportunities.

* What You Will Do:

* • Lead aftermarket supply chain execution for North American kitting and remanufacturing suppliers to ensure parts availability.
• Manage relationships and processes with internal and external suppliers to ensure adequate product supply with aligned planning parameters.
• Establish effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
• Perform analysis of supply chain performance, and design/execution of improvements.
** What You Have (Basic Requirements):** •
** Education Requirement:
** BS in a Business or Engineering concentration OR 10 years’ of working experience in lieu of a degree.•
** Planning:
Tactical, Strategic:
** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.•
** Supply Chain Management:
** Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the aftermarket supply chain planning parameters and velocity KPIs to optimize aftermarket product availability.

** Analytical Thinking:
** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
•
** Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
** What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have):*
* • Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD or CTSC
• A strong background in supply chain, procurement, inventory management or material requirements planning
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
