Division

Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) – one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for aftermarket parts distribution, integrated logistics, and global services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology, and operational excellence.

Position

Life Cycle Specialist II – responsible for leading and driving complex projects in support of optimizing all processes related to aftermarket parts and lifecycle management. These efforts are aligned with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory and Dealer Collaboration processes and rules, as well as facility supply chain goals and objectives to improve customer experience while improving OPACC. Internal customers include department leaders, supply chain and inventory employees, operations, business resource managers, and other partner units.

  • 1st shift, Monday – Friday
  • 100% on‑site – no hybrid or remote options
  • Up to 5% domestic travel
What You Will Do
  • Drive improvement processes and projects and ensure they are embedded and executed with metrics for sustainability in accordance with the Enterprise strategy.
  • Coordinate relevant functional areas, leads, and team members to scope, align, and execute improvement projects.
  • Utilize Change Management processes and resources to ensure impacted or affected process partners understand why the change is necessary, the risks to not changing, and coach through the necessary change.
  • Improve processes that will positively impact OPACC on behalf of business partners, through efforts in inventory, cost, and price actions.
  • Provide project status updates to all levels of the Division (Front‑line to Sr. Leaders).
What You Have (Basic Requirements)
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail – ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis – knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources to reach conclusions.
  • Problem Solving – knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.
  • Process Improvement – understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods; ability to focus on continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
  • Service Excellence – knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service.
  • Standard Operating Procedures – knowledge of established SOP; ability to design, implement and evaluate SOP affecting daily and strategic business operations to increase operational efficiency.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience with the Aftermarket Growth Guide (AGG) process and portfolio management.
  • Understanding of part supply systems and technology solutions.
  • Previous experience in NPI, Inventory, Dealer Support, Supply Chain, and S&OP.
  • Cross‑functional project experience working with all levels of the Enterprise.
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, commercial management, purchasing or inventory management.
  • Experience and knowledge as a Black Belt leader of Six Sigma Process, project leadership, and project portfolio management.
  • Previous experience reviewing and analyzing business data and providing resolutions.
