Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers.
Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer within the Dealer Aftermarket Collaboration (DAC) team, you will build strong dealer relationships and drive alignment between Caterpillar and dealers to improve aftermarket parts performance. The role focuses on understanding dealer needs, removing barriers, and coordinating actions that improve key service outcomes, especially TDA and OTIF, while ensuring clear communication, disciplined follow-up, and sustained accountability.

- This role is located in Morton IL and does not offer relocation.
- This role is 1st shift, Monday - Friday.
- This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
- This role requires up to 10% domestic travel
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned dealers, serving as a key point of contact to support aftermarket parts performance and service execution
- Collaborate with dealer leadership and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, identify barriers, and develop actions that improve dealer and customer outcomes.
- Monitor, analyze, and support improvement of key performance indicators, with particular emphasis on TDA and OTIF, through structured reviews, follow-up, and accountability.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities across Order Management, Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC), Supply Chain, Industry, and other internal support teams to resolve dealer issues and advance performance objectives.
- Provide indirect leadership to an Order Management Analyst and PIC Analyst in support of several assigned dealers, including prioritization of work, alignment of actions, and follow-up on execution.
- Leverage data, dealer feedback, and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities, recommend solutions, and escalation issues as appropriate.
- Support deployment of standard work, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned dealer relationships.
- Effectiveness Measurement: Knowledge of effective measurement techniques and ability to measure the quality and quantity of work effort for the purpose of improvement.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
