Director of Logistics

* Determining and implementing the best logistics plans to improve safety, compliance, quality, and production / distribution.
* Developing and implementing strategic initiatives for the supply and demand requirements and opportunities.
* Directing the management of logistics services and budget to optimize the flow of materials and products.
* Interacting with various department heads to develop trust-based relationships, resolve critical issues, and ensure operational and network goals are in line with the overall business strategy.
* Leading and inspiring highly effective global teams to deliver results, ensure compliance, and safely deliver business objectives using Lean principles, even in complex and/or changing business climates.
* Monitors and predicts industry trends and transforms business models accordingly.
* Promotes organizational learning through knowledge management, training and development, and sharing key experiences.
* Creates a climate that views ambiguity and uncertainty as innovative opportunities across the organization.
* Establish policies and best practices that support the value of and facilitate continuous transformation across the organization.
* Defines strategies and plans for influencing multiple decision makers.
* Debates issues, bringing the most critical points to the forefront for decision making.
* Gains acceptance of ideas and suggestions from senior business executives.
* Coach others on effective influencing strategies and tactics.
* Influences high-impact, high-risk and highly complex situations.

Morton, IL.
* On-site five days a week.
* Up to 50% travel for the role.
* Domestic relocation is offered for the role.
