Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers.
Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
The Manager Inventory plans, supervises and implements standard operating procedures within the inventory control department to meet client requests and ensure quality of inventory.

- Evaluates performance of inventory staff, participates in hiring and training staff and provides advice on performance improvement to intensify the capacity of the division.
- Analyzes inventory processes and develops new methods and approaches to improve the quality and efficiency of service.
- Plans and monitors each phase of the inventory process, including reconciliation, audit and replenishment according to ISO standards and company regulations.
- Coordinates with multiple functions, such as manufacturing, procurement, etc. to acquire appropriate requirements to meet development and accuracy standards.
- Managing day-to-day activities of inventory administration staff; participating in interviewing, hiring, and training and development of associates.
- Facility inventory performance and underperforming inventory reviews
- Facility availability targets
- Network S&OP inventory and volume forecasting
- Support facility engineering (space) and OPACC improvement projects
- Ensure network lead time accuracy & optimization opportunities
- Dealer Bargain List management
- Surplus Inventory Review & RCCA
- Scrap execution and SOX controls
- Testing & System Enhancement
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, data science, computer science, supply chain, industrial engineering, math, stats, econ, or similar technical subject matter
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
