Overview

This position’s primary function is to keep the facility clean and operational to eliminate safety and fire hazards. The role is full‑time and includes cross‑training that leads to operating advanced equipment in the facility.

Work schedule:

3:00 am – 1:30 pm, four days per week, flexible as needed. Wage starts at $23.34 per hour ($48,547 per year before any shift differentials, overtime, and production bonuses). Production bonuses are possible for every employee each month, based on plant site target goals.

Operator 1 – Cleanup crew is the first step toward a long list of exciting and diverse job opportunities  you are trained on different jobs in each department to assist with breaks, you will gain experience that can be applied internally when advanced positions with increased wages become available.

Responsibilities
  • Pick up slabs, sticks, sawdust, and chips off lower mill floors
  • Assist with dust mitigation
  • Maintain a safe environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Apply good housekeeping standards to your work area or any area you observe
Qualifications
  • Completion of high‑school or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Sawmill experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to safely work at a moderate to fast pace
  • Continuous lifting of 20‑30 pounds
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Team player and self‑starter
