Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for leading inspection activities at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements. This role compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data to determine and maintain product quality and reliability. The inspector provides technical support, mentors inspection personnel, and prepares dimensional documentation per customer requirements for new and existing products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform and program inspections using CMM equipment to determine dimensional conformance of product.
Lead complex inspection projects including first article inspections (FAI), capability studies, and new product validation.
Perform inspection using variable and attribute gaging methods to verify dimensional conformance.
Evaluate products at specified stages in the production process for qualities such as cleanliness, paint quality, coating thickness, and overall appearance.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, schematics, and technical specifications to determine quality and reliability standards.
