Trailer Maintenance Technician
The primary role of this position is to perform routine maintenance on the company's trailer fleet. Commitment to safety, strong work ethic and a positive attitude are key components of this position. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Diagnosis/Replacement/Repair of:
- Trailer tires and wheels
- Trailer air brake systems and components
- Trailer suspension and brake components
- Trailer electrical systems and lighting components
- Dolly legs, frame and support items
- Hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required
- Preventative maintenance/inspections on semi-trailers, ensuring that all trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- $19.00 -$28.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience
- Shift differential pay ($0.75 per hour for 2nd shift, $1.25 per hour for 3rd shift, and $1.50 per hour for weekend shift).

- Regularly required to stand, handle material up to 70 lbs., feel and reach for various items in tight locations
- Occasionally required to talk and hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Work environment—outdoor and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation & heat
- Regularly working near moving mechanical parts; with some vibration and loud noise level
- Occasionally working in (non-weather) wet or humid conditions; in (non-weather) extreme heat or cold; in high, precarious places; with fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals; in outdoor weather conditions
- Experience working on van trailers, chassis, tankers, and flatbeds
- Will need to provide own basic hand tools, larger shop tools will be company provided
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation to work
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to read and write English
- FHWA Certification preferred, but will train and pay for certification
