Shifts:
- Weekday 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
- Weekday 3rd Shift – Sunday night to Friday morning, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
Hourly rate: $35.81 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential (2nd and 3rd shift). The position is full‑time and includes benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and 401(k). A retention bonus—paid in two installments at the end of each quarterly calendar period—is also available.
Role DescriptionAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on plant facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Adjust, install, fabricate, repair, and maintain equipment such as piping systems, machine drives, power conveyors, motors, and cranes.
- Perform on‑site repairs of hydraulic systems, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Utilize machine tools, welding, cutting, soldering, and other technical skills to complete jobs.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and determine corrective procedures.
- Use precision checking tools such as lasers and portable power tools for precise alignments.
- Work from sketches and blueprints to design, lay out, and fabricate special parts and equipment.
- 3‑5 years of maintenance experience in a similar environment.
- Ability to pass a 2‑hour Ramsay skills test.
- Proficiency in welding, cutting, soldering, and brazing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
- Technical degree or diploma in a related field.
- Machine shop experience and a strong mechanical aptitude.
This position involves working near high‑voltage electricity, molten metal, heavy equipment, and in confined or elevated spaces. Physical fitness is essential to safely perform these tasks, with or without reasonable accommodations.
