School Social Worker, Crisis Counselor

KeyQualifications:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with students and families
- Hold a valid Illinois (IL) license as either a school counselor or school psychologist
- Possess a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Compassion, cultural sensitivity, and problem-solving prowess
- Provide individual and group counseling aligned with basic school counselor duties
- Facilitate communication between students, families, and school personnel to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Develop strategies and interventions to promote a positive learning environment
- Assess student needs and advocate for appropriate resources or services
- Support crisis intervention and participate in school-wide support initiatives
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines
