Team Lead - 3rd shift

Kitting Team Lead is required to know all facets of kitting, shipping and order picking. The Team Lead will be expected to lead employees if a supervisor is absent or occupied. This position will require daily operation of a sit-down forklift as well as an order picker (which will require working at an elevation of 20 feet). Daily tasks include prioritizing hot parts and serving as the point of contact for shipping, receiving and inbounding.

The Team Lead will assist in training new employees and maintain a safe and clean work area by ensuring their area is kept clean.

• Prioritize hot parts for operations
• Monitor communication and ensure priority is given to Packager and Order Fillers
• Monitor daily reports to resolve outstanding issues and locate material within 24–48 hours
• Daily/timely communication with the customer via email
• Operate a sit-down forklift and an order picker
• Act as a point of contact for the Packagers and Order Fillers to resolve system issues
• Assist with data entry and shipping
• Assist with training new employees on proper receiving and locating procedures
• Possess knowledge of customer systems
• Independently manage full shift operations in the absence of a supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity, quality and cost
• Understand and follow all ISO and 5S initiatives

• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift
• Previous experience in a team environment
• Certified to operate sit-down/order picker power industrial truck
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of one year of experience shipping material
• Minimum one year of experience in Manufacturing/Distribution/3PL environment
