We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support and manage day‑to‑day financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong bookkeeping experience, solid Excel skills, and an understanding of (or interest in) the timber and natural resource industry.

• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Track and categorize costs by project, business unit, and department
• Process bi‑monthly timber sale reporting, deposits, and payments
• Assist in preparing internal financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow reporting and project summaries
• Process multi‑state payroll and support related compliance and reporting requirements
• Maintain organized, accurate, and audit‑ready financial records
• Assist with month‑end close and financial reporting activities
• Support the Accounting Manager with tax preparation and year‑end reporting

• Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field and/or 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar)
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data organization)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines

• Experience in timber, forestry, or natural resources industries
• Understanding of job costing or project‑based accounting
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of advanced experience and professional certifications

• Salary range: $22–$27/hour ($45,000–$55,000 annually), depending on experience
