Classroom Scheduling & Enrollment Services Specialist

This position is responsible for providing efficient and effective classroom scheduling and registration services to faculty, students, and staff. The role requires a thorough understanding of university academic rules, regulations, and policies to support these processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty, students, and staff with course scheduling issues, web grading, and registration regulations.
  • Operate scheduling software and systems; update and maintain accurate student records.
  • Collaborate with other registrar offices to ensure excellent customer service and consistent policy application.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • Working in a customer service environment.
  • Operating office equipment such as telephones, computers, and various software.
Required Education
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in a Registrar’s Office and in higher education.
  • Experience with Banner or other student information systems.
  • Experience with scheduling software.
  • Experience requiring strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with automated records systems.
  • Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying complex regulations such as FERPA and academic regulations.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience handling confidential information.
  • Ability to handle difficult interpersonal situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Systematic research skills to collect requested information.
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely information and handle complex problems courteously and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a repetitive, detail‑oriented environment with a high level of accuracy.
  • Multi‑tasking, prioritizing, and time‑management skills.
