Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operations support to team members during planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and serve as the first point of contact for the unit.
  • Serve as primary contact with program participants, provide customer service and office support.
  • Facilitate communication between program participants and managerial staff.
  • Coordinate arrangements for programs (meetings, conferences, banquets).
  • Collect, compile and summarize program data and manage records.
  • Maintain program calendars and schedules.
  • Utilize University programs to create, review and approve financial documents, and provide routine financial reports to the program administrator.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Experience — Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions; composing, proofreading and editing documents; and using computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet research.

Required Education — High School Diploma or equivalent.

Required Other — Ability to travel; ability to work nonstandard business hours including weekends and holidays; valid driver’s license and ability to meet policy requirements for driving university vehicles.

Additional Preferred — Bachelor’s degree; one year or more of relevant experience in higher education, alumni relations, engagement, event coordination or customer-focused roles; strong organizational, time management and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; experience working with student organizations or volunteers; experience coordinating events or engagement programs.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions — Ability to lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds; ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods.

Degree Requirement — Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
