Position Overview:
The Director of Broadcast Production will oversee all production of Idaho Vandal Athletics video and digital broadcasts, managing the delivery of content and programming for ESPN, the Big Sky Conference, regional and national television and other officialdepartment channels and opportunities. This position will also oversee a large group of gameday staff and student interns. Key responsibilities include scheduling student and freelance crew,preparing production documents, shooting footage to appear inbroadcasts and equipment set-up.
The position reports directly tothe Director of Athletic Digital Content and Productions. Dutiesmay include directing and producing live events; producing videofor marketing and recruiting purposes and other duties associated with live production of events and content creation.
- Experience with remote and studio production editing, cameraoperation and audio
- Experience using digital editing software in a work environment
- Experience using video graphic methods, techniques, processes and equipment
Education:
- None
- Ability to work nonstandard business hours, including weekends and holidays
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, video production,Radio/TV/Film, communications, or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience directing and/or producing in-venue shows or livebroadcasts, as well as the ability to create high-impact videosfrom ideation through postproduction
- Experience with digital video hardware, software,infrastructure and personnel necessary for live and on-demand HDsports production, transmission and archiving preferred
- Experience operating and utilizing HD Camera Systems, fiber optic transport systems, broadcast audio systems and replaysystems
- Demonstrate experience in content development, shooting andpostproduction for video boards and/or social media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet production deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances in afast-paced live production environment
- Demonstrated interest in or experience with collegiate athletics

- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Working in small spaces and platforms exposed to heights
