Research Faculty-Extension Specialist, Horticulture

The University of Idaho College of Agricultural and Life Sciences invites applicants for a 12-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor Research Faculty-Extension Specialist position in the Department of Plant Sciences in the area of Horticulture. The position is 55% Extension, 40% Research and 5% University Service and Leadership. The position will be available starting in March 2, 2026 with a salary that is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The primary objectives for this position will be the development of innovative horticulture-related Extension and research programming specializing in sustainable and economically viable consumer and commercial horticulture. The successful candidate is expected to work independently and collaboratively with Extension, academic, and industry partners in the region.
