Junior Product Manager

We are looking for a motivated and curious student to join the Enterprise Development team as a Junior Product Manager. You will work with stakeholders across campus to understand needs, prioritize work, and collaborate with our development team to design, build, and ship solutions.

Mandated Mandatory Mandates
  • You must be a current University of Idaho undergraduate or graduate student, in junior, senior, or graduate standing, pursuing a degree in management information systems, computer science, business, design, or a related field.
  • You must be motivated and curious, and able to understand how things work and why people need what they need.
  • You must be a self‑driven team player ready to collaborate with staff and stakeholders and follow direction while taking ownership of your work.
  • You must adapt quickly and work effectively when priorities shift and the schedule moves fast.
  • You must have strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, especially when it comes to understanding what people need and turning it into a plan.
Responsibilities
  • Gather needs from campus departments and stakeholders and translate them into clear requirements, solutions, and priorities.
  • Contribute to backlog prioritization and explain the reasoning behind sequencing decisions.
  • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans for features and enhancements.
  • Plan and carry out testing for new features and changes; verify they meet requirements before release.
  • Maintain the MyUI card system, including content, tags, and design, to keep the platform navigable.
  • Support communication with the help desk and campus users about changes.
  • Provide light support for Banner‑related questions and requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
