Join to apply for the Custodian I role at University of Idaho
The position is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly facilities for students, faculty, staff and visitors. As part of a self-directed team, the position will take initiative to schedule cleaning and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities- Perform basic cleaning, sanitization and trash collection in and around residence halls and university buildings
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
- Notify occupants of cleaning and floor maintenance schedules
- Maintain clean and clear walkways, ensuring they are free of debris, litter, snow and ice
- Respond to emergencies and assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service
- Ensure that assigned rooms and buildings are opened and locked as scheduled
- Assist with training new employees
- Other duties as assigned
