Responsibilities
  • Patient/Caregiver Teaching — deliver age‑appropriate education to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Patient Intake & Documentation — prepare exam rooms, assist patients, document clinical intake, monitor interventions, and record outcomes.
  • CLIA‑Waived Lab Testing — perform clinic‑based CLIA‑waived lab tests, including venipuncture and capillary draws, and maintain competency.
  • Administer In‑Office Diagnostic Tests — conduct EKGs, vision and hearing screenings, and other diagnostic tests under provider supervision.
  • Assist Healthcare Provider During Exams & Procedures — aid during examinations, procedures, and medical scribe duties as directed.
  • Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program — understand VFC requirements, obtain vaccine info, assess patients, and administer childhood vaccines.
  • Adult Vaccinations — administer adult vaccines, follow CDC recommendations, and obtain vaccine information from relevant resources.
  • Medication Prior Authorizations — perform prior authorizations with patient insurance providers.
  • Medication Injections — administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal injections under provider supervision.
  • Inventory Control & Medical Supplies — scan, order, and monitor supplies, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and Rural Healthcare guidelines.
  • Online Incident Reporting — report variances, near misses, or complaints using online incident reporting software.
  • EHR Clinical In‑box — process incoming and outgoing electronic documents in the EHR clinical inbox.
  • Miscellaneous Support — monitor front office and waiting area for safety, respond to emergencies, and document incidents as required.

    Requirements
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with at least an AS in Nursing.
    • Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Registered Nurse in Idaho or compact state license holder with an active BLS.
