The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) is responsible for coordinating all clinical activities of the Wound Care Center, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and quality improvement initiatives. The position collaborates with the Program Director and Medical Director to achieve program objectives and ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Provide case management for patients, including assessments according to protocols and procedures.
- Apply clinical competence in procedural skills, wound treatments, and patient/caregiver education.
- Organize and prioritize clinical responsibilities and oversee clinical staff (RNs, LPNs, LVNs, CMAs, hyperbaric oxygen technicians).
- Collaborate with other health care providers and key hospital personnel to address clinical and patient needs.
- Continuously review processes and procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes while complying with HPAA, DOH, hospital, and Healogics requirements.
- Engage in staff development, providing general in‑services and individual instruction and orientation.
- Recognize staff through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
- Coordinate program objectives with the Program Director from a budgetary and financial perspective.
- Coordinate vein clinic services and provide assistance when required (if the program offers Vein Care).
- Achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators in collaboration with the Program Director and Medical Director.
- Serve as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics and hospital policies.
- Perform hyperbaric safety director duties after required training; act as chamber operator or emergency chamber operator as needed.
- Perform patient care based on Center staffing needs and other required duties.
- Current RN license maintained throughout employment.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum);
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. - At least one year of RN experience (two or more years preferred).
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Wound care certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Planning, organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Team‑player capable of communicating in lay terms at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer service and follow‑up skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Leadership and team‑building abilities with motivation skills.
- Research and teaching skills.
- Change management and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of hospital databases and web‑based systems.
- Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Viewing computer screen for extended periods (4+ hours).
- Frequent keyboard use for 4+ hours.
- Movement, close/do distance and peripheral vision.
- Reading, communicating, and writing.
- Lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds.
- Lifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance.
- Pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping/touching with hands.
- Traveling distances (car, airplane, etc.).
- Normal office environment, primarily indoors.
- Patient care environment with exposure to hazards (blood‑borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, etc.).
- Exposure to mechanical equipment and proximity to moving objects.
Annual range: $78,900.00 – $, depending on qualifications, experience, geography, and operational needs.
