The Mobile Inspector conducts on‑site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory, providing accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of vehicle condition in accordance with Manheim inspection standards. The role is remote with an assigned territory in Boise, Idaho.

Remote position with an assigned territory; must live in Boise, Idaho. 100% travel required (local and state‑wide).

• Vehicle Inspection & Documentation – Conduct thorough inspections per Manheim standards, accurately document exterior, interior, mechanical, VIN, mileage, and damage.
• Client Engagement & Territory Management – Build trust with dealers, educate on Manheim Marketplace, increase inspection volume, and adapt schedules for effective coverage.
• Reporting, Tools & Collaboration – Submit daily activity reports, use Salesforce for reporting and lead management, and collaborate with teams to support client success.
• Safety, Compliance & Standards – Follow safety procedures, participate in Safety Excellence initiatives, and comply with Manheim inspection standards.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
• 0–1 years of automotive‑related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.

• Conduct basic vehicle inspections with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Safely move and handle vehicles on dealer lots.
• Accurately document vehicle condition and data in inspection systems.
• Develop working knowledge of inspection standards and client expectations.

• High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field (or equivalent combination).
• 1–2 years of automotive‑related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.

• Independently conduct detailed and complex vehicle inspections.
• Manage daily inspection schedules efficiently across dealer locations.
• Build strong working relationships with dealer clients.
• Utilize data and insights to expand inspection volume and efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration.

• High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a related field (or equivalent combination).
• Previous vehicle inspection experience required.
• Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required.
• 2–3 years of automotive‑related experience strongly preferred.
• 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands within required time frames.

• Perform advanced and high‑complexity vehicle inspections.
• Serve as a subject‑matter resource for inspection standards and best practices.
• Support onboarding and development of less experienced Mobile Inspectors.
• Maintain strong dealer relationships and inspection quality standards.
• Model safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
