Postdoctoral Research Associate, Predictive Modeling for Mental Health Outcomes

Position Overview: The Postdoctoral Research Associate selected for this position will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team led by Dr. Colin Xu on a Department of Defense (DoD)-funded research project involving the use of statistical and machine learning methods for predicting mental health outcomes of anxiety, depression and PTSD. There will be potential opportunities for methodological and/or software development and the integration of machine learning into the project.
This position is one of three Postdoctoral Research Associate positions currently available at the University of Idaho, and the selected researchers will contribute to our modeling community as integral members of interdisciplinary research teams.
Qualifications- Experience with statistical or predictive modeling as demonstrated by publications in the field
- Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills
- Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, psychology, psychiatry, computational biology, or related discipline
- Experience working in one or more of the following areas:
- Longitudinal data analysis
- Predictive modeling/machine learning models
- Biostatistics / epidemiological modeling of public health data
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
