Big Bend Community College invites applications for a Program Specialist 2 in the college's Admissions & Registration Department. This position manages admissions and enrollment processes for new and continuing students, including specialized programs such as Running Start, College in the High School, and international admissions. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students and external partners, ensuring accurate records, compliance with policies, and a seamless admissions and enrollment experience.
This position reports directly to the Director of Enrollment Services & Registrar and is part of our supportive Student Services team, which includes Financial Aid, Counseling, Advising, Disability Support Services, and others.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Program Management, Admissions & Enrollment Coordination (50%)- Coordinate and administers admissions and enrollment processes for new students and specialized programs, including Running Start, College in the High School, and international admissions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, staff, high school partners, and external organizations regarding admissions, enrollment, and program-related processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain procedures to ensure effective operation of specialized admissions and enrollment programs while maintaining compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting admissions and enrollment programs; recommend and implement process changes to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate special initiatives and projects related to Running Start and other specialized enrollment programs.
- Review and investigate potentially fraudulent admission applications; processes suspected fraud cases in accordance with SBCTC guidelines and refers findings to appropriate authorities.
- Prepare, validate, and submit required enrollment, billing, and compliance reports, including Running Start enrollment and reimbursement reports, National Student Clearinghouse reporting, and other state and federal reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate student admissions and enrollment records in accordance with college policies, state regulations, and records retention requirements.
- Utilize ctcLink and other information systems to compile, analyze, and produce reports supporting enrollment management, program administration, and compliance activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data and enrollment information used for internal decision-making and external reporting.
- Monitor enrollment trends, reporting requirements, and operational procedures to support institutional effectiveness and compliance.
- Provide guidance and consultation to students, employees, faculty, administrators, and community partners regarding admissions, enrollment, residency, registration, records, and specialized program requirements.
- Communicate admissions and enrollment information through various formats, including email, phone, virtual meetings, presentations, and in-person interactions.
