Job Details

We are seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical substation construction projects from award through closeout. This is a hands‑on role focused on execution, field coordination, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Manage substation construction projects from kickoff through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Lead project meetings including kickoff, progress updates, and closeout
  • Ensure alignment with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Partner closely with superintendents, foremen, and field crews
  • Support and guide project engineers and coordinators
  • Resolve field challenges, constructability issues, and schedule conflicts
  • Maintain clear communication between field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in substation, utility, or heavy electrical construction project management
  • Strong understanding of substation construction practices and sequencing
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
