We are seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical substation construction projects from award through closeout. This is a hands‑on role focused on execution, field coordination, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Manage substation construction projects from kickoff through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Lead project meetings including kickoff, progress updates, and closeout
- Ensure alignment with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Partner closely with superintendents, foremen, and field crews
- Support and guide project engineers and coordinators
- Resolve field challenges, constructability issues, and schedule conflicts
- Maintain clear communication between field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
- 3+ years of experience in substation, utility, or heavy electrical construction project management
- Strong understanding of substation construction practices and sequencing
- Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
