Automotive Dismantler

Pay Rate

$23/hr with potential commission

The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing all high‑quality auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.

• Dismantle vehicles within suggested time constraints in a safety‑conscious manner.
• Label and tag parts to be placed into stock.
• Check the quality and product type of the parts.
• Own and maintain all necessary tools.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Not responsible for supervising employees.

• Hands‑on automotive repair experience.
• Own set of tools as needed to carry out duties.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic oral communication and ability to write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Follow standard procedures with guidance from supervisor or manager.
• Accept assignments and priorities provided by supervisor or manager.

• Occasional standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods.
• Work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles, possibly requiring awkward positions.
• May need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and be exposed to hazardous situations, extreme temperatures, noise, and contaminants such as fuel or exhaust.
• Travel may be required, including overnight stays.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
