Summary

The Custodian supervises a small team of forklift drivers to maintain the grounds of a vegetable processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervises a team of seasonal Grounds Utility Forklift Drivers

* Retrieves pallets and other supplies that are needed for plant processes

* Maintains the appearance of the outside grounds

* Receives supply shipments from vendors

* Manages on-site pallet yard inventory

* Performs other duties as assigned

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

Required Certifications

Other Information

* Preferred previous supervisory experience

* Ability to operate a forklift

* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure

* Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment; ability to lead a group of employees

* Ability to work weekends, shift work and overtime
