Job Overview

Production Specialist‑Quality – Moses Lake, WA – onsite day shift. Join the Genie team to assemble equipment components, sub‑assemblies, and accessories in a lean, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble equipment components, sub‑assemblies, and accessories as required for the assigned stage of production.
  • Fit brackets, fasteners, parts, and sub‑assemblies onto structures, tightening by hand, hand tools, or portable power tools.
  • Insert parts into small or difficult locations as needed.
  • Inspect work‑in‑progress from previous stations for alignment and proper fit, following defined quality standards; report discrepancies.
  • Assemble components such as axles, power‑transmission devices, and controls, using skilled tool use and production fixtures.
  • Assist in gathering information on takt time cycles, measurement tolerances, line defects, safe and quality work methods.
  • Connect wiring to and from control panels, engines, batteries, and other components per specifications and blueprints.
  • Operate handheld and power‑assisted tools and production fixtures.
  • Understand production flow and adhere to visual management systems and process controls.
  • Perform other duties assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
  • Maintain a strong orientation toward safety, quality, cost, delivery, morale, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High‑school curriculum or equivalent through experience; vocational education may substitute.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Basic understanding of assembly processes and ability to organize, examine, and assemble equipment with structural parts.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and portable air tools.
  • Skill at resolving workstation‑related problems affecting equipment, production, or quality.
  • Human‑relations skills to convey technical information and maintain harmony with team members.
  • Reasoning ability to understand detailed, repetitive written and oral instructions and solve straightforward problems.
  • Arithmetic skills; ability to read and record detailed measurements, counts, distances, and times.
  • Ability to learn safety, continuous quality, and just‑in‑time processes within a reasonable period.
  • Analytical ability to identify material‑flow problems, determine causes, and implement corrective actions such as mistake‑proofing, simplifying sight recognition, shortening distances, and timing deliveries.
  • Team‑player ability, maintaining harmonious work relationships.
  • Observance of safe work practices and handling of hazardous materials per accepted procedures.
  • Availability to work on varying schedules if required.
Physical Requirements

Ambulatory ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl continuously for up to 10+ hours a day; lift, pull, push and guide medium weight objects (20‑40 lbs) continuously; hand‑arm‑eye coordination for precise placement or alignment and accurate measurement; visual acuity to observe moving objects and events; auditory ability to project voice in a production environment and hear instructions.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a heavy manufacturing environment with significant safety considerations such as dangerous equipment, proximity to moving objects, full‑body physical labor, and handling of medium‑to‑heavy weight materials. Required safety equipment includes steel‑toe shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Compensation

Starting hourly rate: $24.43 (see step grid). Pay is based on several factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
