General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) has immediate openings for Production Assembler II to join our Moses Lake, WA team. Our products can be found with every U.S. military branch and with allies around the world. We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission. The Production Assembler II role assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.

Ability to obtain forklift operator certification. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience or exposure to a production environment;

• Requires skills developed through formal training or work experience
• Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach
• Completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision
• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures

• Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
• May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
• Keeps daily assembly production records.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

Understands hazardous characteristics & compatibility of propellants; handling pyrotechnic/chemical materials with required safety requirements; wears and takes care of all personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including Respirator, Eye Protection, Safety Shoes;

• Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Other: Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required

• Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Assembly. Calibration. Component installation. Soldering. Troubleshooting. Functional testing. Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required;
  Performs propellant and assembly operations in accordance with written instructions. Ability to work with various hand tools, fixtures, tooling and equipment

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.

$44,900-$60,700

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
