Responsibilities for this position include operating and maintaining stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and following established manufacturing procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.

Keep daily assembly production records. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. Required qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and 2-4 years' experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Other requirements include willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.

Preferred qualifications include vocational/technical training degree and knowledge, skills & abilities in assembly, calibration, component installation, soldering, troubleshooting, functional testing, and ability to understand and follow directions. Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required; performs propellant and assembly operations in accordance with written instructions. Ability to work with various hand tools, fixtures, tooling, and equipment.

Physical requirements include the ability to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.

May be requested to work a different shift. This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay range is $44,900-$60,700. Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
