Filling & Loading Technician / Forklift Operator

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Filling & Loading Technician / Forklift Operator for a long-term contract opportunity with a leading chemical manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in supporting plant operations by safely operating bagging, filling, and loading equipment while ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and environmental compliance. The facility manufactures sodium chlorate used within the pulp and paper industry and ships products globally.

Pay: $23.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Frequent overtime available
Must be willing to work 10-hour shifts and occasional weekends based on production demands

• Operate bagging, filling, and container loading equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
• Inspect returned containers for damage, debris, and other irregularities.
• Support production and loading activities to meet operational goals.
• Maintain accurate communication regarding product quality and equipment issues.
• Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and operational activities.
• Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a professional and team-oriented work environment.

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

This position operates within a chemical manufacturing facility and requires working around industrial equipment, moving machinery, varying weather conditions, elevated work areas, noise, dust, and chemical processes. Appropriate PPE and uniforms are provided.

Forklift operation is a key function of this role.
All uniforms and safety boots are provided by the facility.
Uniforms must remain onsite and cannot be taken offsite after use.
