Tote Room General Laborer
The Tote Room General Laborer is responsible for the safe, efficient handling, cleaning, and preparation of totes used throughout the production and packaging process. This role plays a key part in supporting overall plant operations by ensuring totes are properly maintained, meet food safety standards, and are consistently available for use by production and packaging teams.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize totes in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.
- Inspect totes for cleanliness, damage, and overall condition before releasing them for use.
- Organize, stage, and move totes to designated production and packaging areas to ensure timely availability.
- Monitor tote inventory levels and identify shortages, excess, or damaged totes.
- Promptly communicate tote shortages, damages, or quality concerns to supervisors or designated team members.
- Support general labor tasks related to production, packing, assembly, loading, and cleaning as needed.
- Follow established safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices while handling totes and working in the facility.
- Maintain a clean and orderly tote room and surrounding work areas to support efficient operations.
Essential Skills
- Experience performing general labor tasks in a production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to handle, move, and organize totes and other materials safely and efficiently.
- Understanding of basic cleaning and sanitation procedures, particularly in a food-related or GMP environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to company and food safety standards.
- Attention to detail when inspecting totes for cleanliness and damage.
- Reliability in monitoring inventory levels and communicating issues to supervisors.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks such as packing, assembly, loading, and cleaning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production, packaging, or assembly work.
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMP) in a food or manufacturing facility.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support various labor tasks as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively with production and packaging teams.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Moses Lake, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.05 - $18.05/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
