Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Washington license or compact license (required after submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program:
Medefis Program - Samaritan Healthcare (Non-MSP - VMS).

Preferred Skills/

Experience:

- Experience as an acute care registered nurse - Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments.

Required Credentials:

- If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.

Preferred Credentials:

- RN-C preferred.

Unit Details:

- Functions as both a caregiver and care manager, directing and overseeing the work of other caregivers through delegation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of patient care outcomes.

- May be required to function as a charge nurse, including delegating patient assignments and re-assignments, assisting with admits, discharges, and transfers, coordinating staff coverage for breaks, helping staff problem-solve, and serving as a unit lead.

Floating Requirements:

- Floats between ICU and ED.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course)

• Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
