Registered Nurse - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will function as both a caregiver and a care manager, assuming responsibility for a group of patients while implementing the Nursing Process. In addition to direct patient care, the RN will oversee the work of other caregivers, including nurses and non-nurses, through effective delegation, coordination, and evaluation of patient care outcomes. This role requires sound judgment and a solid understanding of Patient Care Services operations.

• Perform assessment and data collection focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Implement patient care using pre-determined procedures and policies consistently.
• Identify learning needs of patients and significant others and provide appropriate education.
• Document patient care per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate patient care activities and supervise assigned staff effectively.
• Utilize critical thinking skills for organization and priority setting in patient care.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when required, managing patient assignments and coordinating staff coverage.
• Promote professional growth through continuous education and practice adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain positive interactions with team members and support groups.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN Licensure.
• Healthcare Provider Level of BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience as an acute care RN preferred; minimum one year of experience for specialty nursing departments.
• ACLS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.
• PALS or PEARS certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.
