Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a secured dementia/Alzheimer’s care unit
- Administer medications and manage treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
- Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and participate in care planning with an interdisciplinary team
- Monitor resident safety, manage behavioral symptoms, and implement interventions to promote comfort and well-being
- Document care, changes in condition, and response to treatments in the electronic medical record; communicate effectively with families and team members
- Support care transitions, admissions, and discharges while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality standards
Requirements
- Availability for the evening shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM per notes) and ability to maintain a consistent 12-week assignment
- Experience in long-term care or dementia care settings is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a secured dementia care unit and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and communication skills
