Lake Ridge Center, a Genesis Health Care skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Centreville, VA, is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our resident-centered team. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, meals, and comfort measures for residents in short-term rehab and long-term care. You will obtain vital signs, observe and report changes, maintain a safe, clean environment, and support individualized care plans.
Working collaboratively with nurses and therapists, you'll help enhance residents' quality of life while growing your clinical skills through ongoing training and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics
- Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output as directed
- Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed, following dietary guidelines
- Maintain clean, safe resident rooms and common areas; follow infection control protocols
- Support residents' comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being through respectful interaction
- Document care provided in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support care plans
- Participate in in-service training and continuing education to maintain competencies
