American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active WA or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital environment
• Facility may cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within the 13-week assignment at no cost

• Active WA state or compact RN license required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• BLS (HCP level, AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
• PALS certification required within 12 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
• TNCC certification required within 12 months of hire, renewed every 4 years
• PEARS certification required within 12 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
• Moderate sedation training required within 12 months of hire and annually thereafter
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
• RN-C certification preferred

• Functions as both direct caregiver and care manager, overseeing and delegating tasks to other nursing and non-nursing staff
• May be required to function as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment, coordinating admits/discharges/transfers, and staff support
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and documentation via EMR and/or paper records
• Provides patient and family education based on identified learning needs
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and body mechanics standards
• Participates in Total Joint Program requirements, including 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training
• Works closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Reports to Nursing Department Director, House Supervisor, and Charge Nurse

The $2,326 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
