M‑F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., onsite
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer requirements).
- Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Participate in internal and external audits (customer, regulatory, certification).
- Ensure proper documentation control, record retention, and traceability.
- Monitor and analyze product quality and process performance metrics.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and acceptance criteria.
- Support validation activities (process validation, cleaning validation, etc.).
- Ensure batch release meets all specifications and customer requirements.
- Lead investigations for non‑conformances, deviations, and customer complaints.
- Utilize structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
- Implement and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Track and trend quality issues to prevent recurrence.
- Act as a quality liaison for customers.
- Support customer audits and respond to quality inquiries or concerns.
- Review and approve supplier quality documentation as needed.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, reduce variation, and enhance efficiency.
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze data to drive decision‑making and operational improvements.
- Partner with Production, R&D, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
- Provide quality input for process changes, new product introductions (NPI), and scale‑up activities.
- Support training efforts related to quality standards and procedures.
- Uphold all MLI policies and MLI Code of Conduct.
- Strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration are required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support and sustain a high‑performing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification (e.g., ASQ CQE) required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing (chemical or related industry preferred).
- Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar).
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA processes; demonstrated ability to write clear technical reports, CAPAs, and customer‑facing quality documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, or similar).
- Experience with SPC systems or real‑time process monitoring tools.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification preferred.
- Experience using ETQ as a quality management system.
- ASQ Lead Auditor.
- Experience in high‑purity chemical manufacturing, semiconductor supply chain, or other ultra‑clean industries.
- Salary range: $75,000 – $145,000 (DOE).
