- Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.
- Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks.
- Communicates regularly with management regarding the status of environmental initiatives.
- Ensures training records, handbooks, incident reports, and other documentation are maintained.
- Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
- Monitors known health, safety or environmental hazards, such as noise, air or wastewater pollution levels.
- Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles or equipment and recommends corrections or precautions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicates facility‑specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
- Maintains broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
- Required education and experience: Associate’s Degree and 5‑7 years experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Required technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Background in Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline.
- Knowledge of safety best practices, communications, inspections, investigations, policies, procedures, training and documentation.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods.
- Requires regular movement throughout the facility.
- Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Requires regular movement throughout the facility; occasional travel may be required.
Pay Range (USD): $88,850 – $120,200
