Framing and Finish Carpenter

North Central Construction, Inc. is currently hiring an energized, and motivated Framing & Finish Carpenters in the Moses Lake area. Experience in this work is necessary for consideration.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities for a Framing & Finish Carpenter are to perform various physical tasks on commercial job sites in support of the overall project. This position may operate a variety of hand and power tools, in completing tasks. The right candidate s will be dependable and looking for a long-term position. Able to arrive at the job site on time and ready for hard work.

Must be able to work independently as well as being part of a team. A self starter with a positive attitude is the person that will succeed.

Specific Skills and

Job Requirements:

• Experience in framing carpentry work and finish carpentry.
• Detailed knowledge and experience working with various construction materials
• Assemble and fasten materials to make framework using hand tools and screws, nails, dowel pins or glue
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, windows, frameworks, floors, trim or hardware and other fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools and power tools.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements. Verify trueness of structure using correct tools.
• Able to read & understand specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and material required.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs., walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries object and uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
• Requires good manual dexterity and full mobility of the back, arms and legs in the course of performing this job.
• Ability to walk over rough, uneven or slippery surfaces
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders
• Ability to work in a variety of physical positions including but not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling and walking.
• Emphasis on commercial/industrial concrete work including forming, pouring and finishing experience is plus.
• While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is exposed to wet, cold, heat, quickly changing conditions, work near moving mechanical parts or equipment in outdoor weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
