Bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk with extensive experience managing payroll and bookkeeping tasks for small to medium-sized businesses and individuals. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Quick Books, Online Quick Books, and Microsoft Excel, with a strong ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and client communication. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment, providing reliable customer service and supporting basic tax preparation matters.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely using Quick Books
• Maintain bookkeeping records including income and expense entries
• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy
• Manage data entry and record-keeping efficiently
• Provide customer service and handle phone inquiries professionally
• Support basic tax preparation tasks
• Multi-task effectively to meet deadlines
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes
• Interact with both clients and internal staff to address questions and resolve issues

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping and payroll
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient with Quick Books, Online Quick Books, and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of payroll processing and bank reconciliation
• Basic tax knowledge relevant to bookkeeping tasks
• Strong customer service and multitasking abilities
• Effective communication skills
