Aircraft Mechanic - Luka, MS

Position: Aircraft Mechanic 3 – Luka, Mississippi

Only qualified candidates with the below experience will be considered for this position.

• Read and understand blueprints
• Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools
• Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
• Perform part‑fitting operations: filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
• Measure parts with precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
• Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Use daily manufacturing shop controls and systems
• Use appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness

• High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environment
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need
• Must have the ability to work any shift

• Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools (drills, grinders, sanders, cutting wheels, saws, tape measures, scales, micrometers, dial calipers, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
• Experience working to electronic or written instructions
• Ability to read engineering drawings

• .63 per mile up to $252.00 Travel Pay on your first check, plus a $100.00 Monthly Bonus
